Finn Havaleschka The Garuda Group with headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark was founded in 1982 by Dr. Finn Havaleschka.
It has subsequently developed into an international corporation with several Subsidiaries and Associates in Europe, USA, Brazil and Japan. Garuda Research Institute is now one of Europe’s leading developers of tools for multiple HR purposes.

Dr. Havaleschka is still heading up the Garuda group and is also responsible for the continuous updating of the Garuda tools and for the development of new HR solutions. With his comprehensive HR and management research and with a vast number of papers, articles and books, Dr. Havaleschka has become an authority when it comes to practical psychometric test tools and HR development systems.

Mats Bruzaeus Garuda Japan K.K.was established in late 2004 as a subsidiary of the Garuda group.
After an initial period of thorough preparation, a number of Garuda’s qualified and versatile HR tools are now available through user licenses or by direct Garuda consultant services. President, Rep. Director and Chief HR Analyst is Mr. Mats Bruzæus, former President of Anoto Nippon K.K. and Swedish Science and Technology Counselor in Japan, specializing in Working Life and Human Resource issues. He received, for his services to Japan, the Order of the Rising Sun in 1998.

Mats Bruzæus has also broad experience on the executive level at leading Swedish corporations; large production organizations and technology development units as well as from both marketing and sales of technology licenses and industrial products. He has also served as Trade and Industry Director for the City of Malmö, Sweden.

The Garuda name
The Garuda philosophy and concept is not based on Indian mythology, but the name is still very befitting. Garuda, half eagle and half man, is the immortal king of birds. He is chosen as carrier of the supreme god Vishnu who is the preserver of the universe. Garuda has a great hatred for the evil and roams about the universe devouring the bad. To be such a speedy messenger of truth and wisdom, seeing through the clouds of deception and defending the good, is certainly a noble mission also for the Garuda Corporation.
